Otterburn Bed and Breakfast

While I run Otter Adventures, my wife, Laura, runs Otterburn Bed & Breakfast which is a separate part of our home. Overlooking Loch Sunart, it made perfect sense to start Otter Adventures from here in 2017. Since then, it has grown alongside the B&B and begun to deliver bespoke adventures that make use of both facilities.

You can check availability of rooms at Otterburn below, and then message me with your thoughts and we'll begin planning a unique adventure together.

As well as the planned 'Explorers', we have created bespoke wild camping adventures for couples and families, exploring in kayak or canoe, with several nights at Otterburn afterwards. Here you will be able to freshen up from your adventures and relax in a different sort of comfort before exploring the region in your own way.

Both Laura and I will be on hand to provide suggestions for walks or bike rides. We can supply maps and guides or arrange bike hire locally (subject to availability) and book one of our local restaurants on your behalf for your dinner.

If you are struggling for ideas of what to do or where to go, have a look at our regional pages such as the 'Strontian and Sunart' or the Ardnamurchan pages.

Eat

To start your day, as well as fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and cereals, we offer a full cooked breakfast or daily specials to tempt you with something that’s a little different such as blueberry pancakes, bursting with flavour, or smoked salmon with scrambled eggs served on bagels or crusty toast. All food is cooked to order so no need to make your mind up the night before!

In your room is a generous welcome tray with a wide selection of hot beverage choices and munchies to tempt you. Bottled water is provided.

We can also set you up for a day of exploring with a hearty packed lunch for just £7 per person.

A simple but delicious homemade evening meal can also be freshly prepared for you with main courses starting at just £12. Please note, we need an absolute minimum of 24 hours notice for additional meals or packed lunches as we are a small B&B and can only prepare to order.

Relax

A separate dining room/guest lounge invites relaxation with an exceptional view and the possibility of spotting the otter, which gave the property its name, along with oystercatchers, curlews, herons, seals or porpoise from your breakfast table.
