Otterburn Bed and Breakfast
While I run Otter Adventures, Laura, runs Otterburn Bed & Breakfast, which is a separate part of our home. Overlooking Loch Sunart, it made perfect sense to start Otter Adventures from here in 2017. Since then, both businesses have grown and delivered bespoke adventures that make best use of both facilities.
As well as the planned 'Explorers' and personal development courses, we have created and delivered all-inclusive bespoke wild camping adventures for couples and families, exploring in kayak or canoe, with several nights at Otterburn afterwards. Here you will be able to freshen up from your adventures and relax in a different sort of comfort before exploring the region in your own way on land - perhaps revisiting some of the places you paddled to see them from a different perspective...
1:1 Coaching Days
Available throughout the year
Sometimes you just want the time with an experienced coach to ask your questions, discuss your paddling, pick the brains of an experienced paddler and passionate outdoor pursuits coach, or simply have a competent person alongside you for confidence.
Well, that is what our bespoke 1:1 coaching days in sea kayaking (open canoeing also available) are all about. You!
Independent Adventurers
Independent adventurers are very welcome and both Laura and I will be on hand to provide suggestions for paddles, walks or rides. We can supply maps and arrange bike hire locally as well as guides if you'd prefer (subject to availability). We are more than happy to share our local knowledge and experience with you and hope to have equipment hire, a drying room and secure bike storage available in the near future.
Although it does not involve accommodation at Otterburn B&B, experienced adventurers may be interested in our week–long circumnavigation of the Morvern Peninsula by Sea Kayak.

Stay
At Otterburn Bed & Breakfast, we extend the warmest of welcomes to all those seeking to escape the pressures of everyday life and to immerse themselves in the tranquillity of the local landscape.

Located just 45 minutes' drive from Fort William, we have three beautiful ground floor en-suite double bedrooms which accommodate a total of 6 people at one time in two double and one double/twin room.
Otter
A feeling of tranquility and calm is reflected in the decor and furnishings of this room which, along with a luxurious super kingsize bed, guarantee a relaxing stay. From your window, marvel over the ever-changing loch, hillside, sunsets and dark skies.

Stag
This fresh, contemporary room invites relaxation and comfort with quality solid oak furnishings and an extremely comfortable kingsize bed. It looks out to the rear of the property where the trees reflect the changing seasons and you may glimpse our local pine marten.

Pine marten
Brand new from summer 2023, this room is situated at the front of the house and overlooks beautiful Loch Sunart. The decor and furnishings have drawn inspiration from the beautiful and calming Scottish landscapes, offering a unique blend of comfort and style.

Eat
To start your day, as well as fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and cereals, we offer a full cooked breakfast or daily specials to tempt you with something that’s a little different such as blueberry pancakes, bursting with flavour, or smoked salmon with scrambled eggs served on bagels or crusty toast. All food is cooked to order so no need to make your mind up the night before!
In your room is a generous welcome tray with a wide selection of hot beverage choices and munchies to tempt you. Bottled water is provided.
We can also set you up for a day of exploring with a hearty packed lunch for just £7 per person. Please note, we need a minimum of 24 hours notice for packed lunches as we are a small and friendly B&B and prepare to order from fresh produce.
Relax
A separate dining room/guest lounge invites relaxation with an exceptional view and the possibility of spotting an otter, which gave the property its name, along with oystercatchers, curlews, herons, seals or porpoise from your breakfast table. You may even see our regular Pine marten just a few meters away.
