Resipole (pronounced Reh-she-pol if you want to sound like a local) is small community that sits between Strontian (see the Sunart page) and Acharacle (on the Ardnamurchan page) on the north shores of Loch Sunart. Quite easy to pass by if you are driving through on your way to Ardnamurchan or Acharacle; yet there are several reasons to stop there and break up your journey.

Amenities and Things to do

While there are no shops or services in Resipole, there are two galleries well worth a visit. Resipole Studios host a regularly changing series of exhibitions during the year as well as the proprietor's own art work. Andrew is a generous man and passionate about art in a wide sense. Keep an eye on their website as the gallery punches well above what you would expect from such a small, rural community.

Just along the road from there is Steven Marshall's new (2018) photo studio at Rockpool House. As he moved to the area shortly after us, I have watched Steven develop his landscape photography rapidly and can recommend seeing his prints for yourself. Do check his opening hours or phone ahead to make an appointment.
